About Second Spotlight
Second Spotlight is an online marketplace connecting dancers who want to buy or sell gently-used competitive dance costumes, shoes, and accessories. We provide the platform but do not own, inspect, or guarantee any items.

How the Marketplace Works

Sellers create listings and set prices.
Buyers purchase online and arrange local pickup with the seller.

Responsibilities of Sellers

Describe items accurately, provide clear photos, and ensure items are clean and wearable.
Respond to buyer questions and mark orders Fulfilled only after pickup.

Responsibilities of Buyers

Review listings carefully; ask questions before purchase.
Arrange a safe pickup location and inspect the item on hand-off.

Marketplace Integrity
Users agree not to bypass platform fees or policies. Attempted fee-avoidance or other misconduct may lead to suspension or permanent removal.

Payments, Escrow & Payouts

Accepted at checkout: Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal.
Buyer funds stay in escrow until the seller marks the order Fulfilled.
Sellers are paid via Interac e-Transfer within 48 hours of fulfillment.
Buyer-protection windows:
• Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay / Shop Pay – 7 days after pickup.
• PayPal – 30 days after pickup.

Commission & Fees
We keep a 15% commission on the sale price. No additional platform fees are charged at this time; external payment-processor fees may apply.

Refunds & Disputes
If an item is significantly not as described, buyers must email support@secondspotlight.ca within the timeframes above. We will mediate first; unresolved issues may be escalated to the relevant payment network.

Prohibited Conduct & Consequences
Misrepresentation, fee-avoidance, or repeated policy violations can result in account suspension or termination without notice.

Future Features
We may add shipping options, extra payout methods, or other features in the future. Any new feature will be governed by an updated version of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be posted at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Minors
If you are under the age of majority in your province, a parent or legal guardian must read and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

Safety First
Always meet in a well-lit public space. Minors must be accompanied by a trusted adult.
