Seller Guide
Welcome to your one-stop reference for listing and managing items on Second Spotlight. Follow the steps below, and you’ll be selling like a pro in minutes. We are always looking to improve our setup, so e-mail us if you have any suggestions!
1 – Accessing Your Seller Dashboard
- From the top menu, or using the link here, click Register/Sell Your Stuff.
- Register an account, or log in
- You’ll see the Dashboard Home with tiles for Products, Orders, Commission, and Earnings.


2 – Set Up Your Profile & Payout Details
- Top-menu ► Profile ► My Info.
- (Optional) Upload a square profile photo or studio logo (300 × 300 px recommended).
- Profile ► Payment Details → Enter the email that receives your Interac e-Transfer. Funds release within 48 h of fulfilment.

3 – Listing an Item
- Products ► List a New Product.
- Complete the form:
- Name, Description, Price (15 % commission auto-deducted)
- Minimum Purchase Quantity (if selling pieces together)
- Total Quantity
- Pickup Area so buyers can filter locally
- Add at least two clear photos (front & back). Add video after saving.
- Click Save Changes. Listings are usually approved within 24 h.

4 – Managing Listings
- Products ► My Products.
- Click the three-dot menu ► Edit to update details.

5 – Responding to Buyer Questions
Buyers can post public questions on each product page. You’ll get an email alert—answer from Products ► Product Q&As so everyone sees the response.
6 – Handling Orders & Getting Paid
- You’ll receive an Order Placed email with the buyer’s address—contact them to schedule pickup.
- Review the order via the email link or Dashboard ► Orders ► Orders from My Shop.
- After handing over the item, click View ► Accept & Fulfil ► Fulfil Order. A couple of pages will load, prompting you to Accept and Fulfil the order.
- Sold-out items archive automatically—please delete them from your store.


Payment Timeline
Once you mark an order Fulfilled, our system releases the buyer’s payment. You’ll receive an Interac e-Transfer (less 15 % commission) within 48 hours.
7 – Tracking Your Earnings
- Orders ► Payment Received — shows paid vs. pending.
8 – Best-Practice Tips
- Photos: natural light, plain background, full front & back.
- Accuracy: note any wear or alterations to avoid returns.
- Meetups: choose public locations.
- Stay responsive: timely answers help items sell faster.
